Forum Stalkers. There's a lot of them now. Basically, they watch the Forums. If they find someone that looks easy to freak out or is famous, they start sending them creepy messages. Here's how to STOP the creepy messages.
- Don't draw attention to yourself!
If you see that someone has posted a forum about a new forum stalker, DO NOT comment on it. The forum stalkers will go after you! If you do get stalked by one, don't make a forum about it! That just lets the stalker find new victims.
When the stalker starts sending you creepy messages, ignore them! Don't let them get to you! That's what they want. If you don't talk to them, eventually they loose interest.
When you know of a new stalker or if one is messaging you, block them! This way you will prevent more creepy messages. Below is a guide for how to block someone.
- Click on the person's name.
- Go to their page, NOT their profile. (You can see the person doing their animation on the left side)
- Click the yellow button with a ! on it in the right hand corner.
- It will ask you if you want to report or block them. Click block.
- Report the person if they've broken the rules (see my reporting guide by clicking here.)
- You can unblock the person by clicking the icon on the upper right corner of the screen that's next to the log out button. It's called "Tools". You can also change your password there. Click "blocked users" and unblock them!
Hopefully those Forum Stalkers won't message you anymore!
